A waterproof camera case is a simple and relatively inexpensive way of getting into underwater photography. In essence, a waterproof camera case is an air padded plastic bag into which you can securely and confidently fit your existing, non-waterproof, digital camera.

The problem with the majority of digital cameras is that they stop working if they get wet, so underwater photography is out.
